Fujitsu General establishes a new branch in Austria with aim of expanding its reach in Europe

Fujitsu General (Euro) GmbH (Germany), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujitsu General Limited and engaged in selling air conditioners in Europe, has established a branch in Vienna, Austria, starting the air conditioner business on February 1. The Group has been developing its business in the Austrian market through distributors until now. The establishment of a direct sales structure through the Vienna branch aims to strengthen our marketing activities and after-sales service, and to further enhance our brand and expand sales. Hereafter, the Group will also focus on cultivating sales routes to small and medium-sized commercial facilities to grow its air conditioning business in Austria.

As part of its business policy, Fujitsu General is committed to “Sustainable Management” and is actively doing its part for the mitigation of global warming. Its main initiatives include the promotion of a switch from conventional heating equipment to heat pumps, such as ATW (Air-to-Water) ones. Europe, in particular, is a region strongly encouraging the switch from fossil fuels to heat pumps. The company sees Europe as one of the most important regions for its "Sustainable Management" and the prevalence of its heat pump appliances. It will support the shift towards a decarbonized society by promoting changes in heating culture and increasing sales.

In addition, Fujitsu General is currently reforming its European sales structure, transitioning from distributor-based sales to a direct sales system. The company has already taken the initiative in developing sales and after-sales service for air conditioners in Italy, Greece, Turkey, the Balkans, and Norway. This newly opened Austrian branch will offer a diverse product lineup, including a new Monobloc ATW*, which matches local needs. Its attentive services to accommodate the diverse needs of its customers, with the benefits of its direct sales system, will drive sustainable business practices.

With a dedicated effort to strengthen its sales framework and introduce cutting-edge products, Fujitsu General will continue to strive to boost its sales in Europe.
